Overview

The leaderboard provides:

• Performance Rankings - Top traders by profit
• Multiple Time Periods - 7d, 30d, 90d, All-time
• Detailed Metrics - Win rate, drawdown, trades
• One-Click Follow - Easy subscription to masters

Accessing the Leaderboard

1. Navigate to Leaderboard in the main navigation
2. Or visit tradestaq.com/leaderboard
3. Browse and filter top performers

Filter the leaderboard by performance period:

Interpreting Periods

7-Day Leaders:

• May be lucky streaks
• High volatility possible
• Good for short-term signals

30-Day Leaders:

• More balanced picture
• Still recent performance
• Recommended starting point

90-Day Leaders:

• Proven consistency
• Multiple market conditions
• Lower risk choice

All-Time Leaders:

• Battle-tested traders
• Survived market cycles
• Most reliable but may have older data

What to Look For

Green Flags:

• ✅ Consistent returns across periods
• ✅ Low maximum drawdown (< 15%)
• ✅ High number of trades (100+)
• ✅ Many active followers
• ✅ Detailed strategy description
• ✅ Verified identity

Red Flags:

• ⚠️ Only recent performance (< 30 days)
• ⚠️ Very few trades (< 20)
• ⚠️ High drawdown (> 30%)
• ⚠️ No strategy description
• ⚠️ Volatile equity curve
• ⚠️ Few or no followers

Following a Trader

From Leaderboard

1. Find a trader you like
2. Click Follow Trader
3. Configure your copy settings:
   • Copy multiplier (0.1x - 10x)
   • Maximum allocation
   • Risk limits
4. Confirm subscription
5. Start copying!

Setting Limits

Even when following, protect yourself:

• Max Position %: Maximum of your balance per trade
• Daily Loss Limit: Stop copying if daily loss exceeds X%
• Stop Copy Level: Unfollow if drawdown exceeds X%

Becoming a Master Trader

Requirements

To join the leaderboard:

1. Trader Subscription or higher
2. Verified Identity (KYC Level 2)
3. Minimum Trading History (30 days, 20 trades)
4. Connected Exchange with verified performance

Application Process

1. Navigate to Dashboard → Master Account
2. Click Apply to Become Master
3. Complete verification:
   • Identity verification
   • Trading history import
   • Strategy description
4. Set your terms:
   • Profit sharing % (0-50%)
   • Minimum follow amount
   • Maximum followers
5. Submit for review
6. Wait for approval (1-3 business days)

Leaderboard Algorithm

How Rankings Work

The ranking score is calculated:

Score = (Return × 0.40) + (Sharpe × 0.25) + (Consistency × 0.20) - (Drawdown × 0.15)

Where:

• Return: Normalized period return
• Sharpe: Risk-adjusted return
• Consistency: Standard deviation of returns (inverted)
• Drawdown: Maximum drawdown (penalty)

Anti-Gaming Measures

To prevent manipulation:

• Minimum trade count required
• Outlier trades are normalized
• Verified performance only
• Regular audits
• Suspicious activity monitoring

Recalculation

Leaderboard updates:

• Every 15 minutes for quick metrics
• Daily for full recalculation
• Real-time for trade counts

Best Practices

For Followers

1. Diversify - Follow 3-5 traders, not just one
2. Start Small - Use 0.5x multiplier initially
3. Set Limits - Always configure stop-copy levels
4. Monitor - Check performance weekly
5. Long-Term View - Don't chase recent winners

For Masters

1. Consistency - Steady returns beat spiky ones
2. Risk Management - Keep drawdown low
3. Transparency - Describe your strategy clearly
4. Communication - Update followers on changes
5. Professionalism - Build trust over time

Troubleshooting

Not Seeing Traders

• Check your filters aren't too restrictive
• Try different time periods
• Some exchanges may have fewer masters

Can't Follow Trader

• Verify you have sufficient balance
• Check subscription tier allows copy trading
• Ensure exchange is connected and active

Metrics Not Updating

• Leaderboard updates every 15 minutes
• Full recalculation happens daily
• Real-time performance may differ

Trader Disappeared

• May have fallen below minimum requirements
• Could have opted out of leaderboard
• Check if their account is still active
