Understand what happens when you downgrade your TradeStaq subscription.
How Downgrades Work
When Downgrade Takes Effect

Current plan: Trader (monthly)
Downgrade requested: March 15
Access until: March 31 (end of cycle)
New plan active: April 1
No Prorated Refunds
When downgrading:
- Keep full access until period ends
- No partial refund for unused time
- Billing stops for higher tier

What Gets Affected
When you have more resources than your new tier allows:

Soft Pausing
What is Soft Pausing?
Soft pausing means:
- Resource is not deleted
- Resource is not active
- All data preserved
- Can be reactivated by upgrading

Choosing What to Keep
When downgrading, you'll be prompted to:
- Select which resources to keep active
- Choose based on priority
- Confirm selection
If you don't choose, the system will pause:
- Most recently created resources first
- Preserving oldest/established resources

Open Positions During Downgrade
What Happens to Positions

Critical Actions Before Downgrade
- Close all positions on exchanges that will be paused
- Cancel pending orders on those exchanges
- Verify no open positions remain
Warning: Positions on paused exchanges won't be managed. You must close them manually or directly on the exchange.
Master Trading on Downgrade
If You Have Followers
When downgrading from Trader/Whale:

Can I delete resources instead of pausing?
Yes. You can delete excess resources to stay within limits.
Will paused bots resume automatically on upgrade?
No. You must manually reactivate them.
What if I forget to close positions?
Positions remain open on the exchange. Manage them directly on the exchange.
Can I pause and resume without downgrading?
Currently, no subscription pausing feature. You can cancel and resubscribe.
How long are paused resources kept?
Indefinitely, as long as your account exists.
