Account Setup

This guide covers the complete account setup process, including registration, verification, and initial configuration.

Creating Your Account

Registration

  1. Navigate to tradestaq.com/register
  2. Fill in the registration form:
    • Email: Your valid email address
    • Password: Minimum 8 characters, include numbers and special characters
    • Confirm Password: Re-enter your password
  3. Accept the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy
  4. Click Create Account

Note: Use a strong, unique password. Consider using a password manager to generate and store secure passwords.

Email Verification

After registration, you'll receive a verification email:

  1. Check your inbox for an email from noreply@tradestaq.com
  2. Click the Verify Email button or link
  3. You'll be redirected to the login page
  4. Sign in with your credentials

Note: The verification link expires after 24 hours. If it expires, you can request a new verification email from the login page.

First Login

When you first log in, you'll see the main dashboard. Here's what to expect:

Empty State

New accounts start with:

  • 0 Exchanges connected
  • 0 Bots created
  • Free Tier subscription

Recommended First Steps

  1. Connect a Paper Exchange - Start risk-free
  2. Explore the Dashboard - Familiarize yourself with the interface
  3. Create Your First Bot - Test the webhook system

Profile Settings

Access your profile settings by clicking your avatar in the top-right corner.

Account Information

  • Email: Your registered email (cannot be changed)
  • Display Name: Optional name shown in the interface
  • Avatar: Upload a profile picture

Security Settings

  • Change Password: Update your password regularly
  • Active Sessions: View and revoke active login sessions

Notification Preferences

Configure how you receive notifications:

Telegram Integration

  1. Click Connect Telegram
  2. Start a chat with our Telegram bot
  3. Send the verification code displayed on screen
  4. Confirm the connection

Once connected, you'll receive:

  • Trade execution notifications
  • Position updates
  • Bot status alerts
  • Important account notifications

Note: Telegram notifications are highly recommended for real-time trade alerts, especially when trading with live funds.

Email Notifications

Configure email alerts for:

  • Trade executions
  • Daily/weekly summaries
  • Security alerts
  • Subscription updates

Subscription Management

Viewing Your Current Plan

Navigate to Settings → Subscription to see:

  • Current tier name
  • Features included
  • Usage limits
  • Renewal date (if applicable)

Free Tier Limitations

The free tier includes:

  • 1 Paper Exchange
  • 0 Live Exchanges
  • 1 Signal Bot
  • Basic timeframes (1h, 4h, 1D)
  • 7-day log retention

Upgrading Your Plan

To upgrade:

  1. Go to Settings → Subscription
  2. Click Upgrade Plan
  3. Select your desired tier
  4. Choose billing cycle (monthly/yearly)
  5. Complete payment

Account Security Best Practices

Password Security

  • Use a unique password not used elsewhere
  • Include uppercase, lowercase, numbers, and symbols
  • Minimum 12 characters recommended
  • Change your password every 90 days

API Key Security

When connecting exchanges:

  • Only grant necessary permissions
  • Use IP whitelisting when available
  • Never share API keys
  • Rotate keys periodically
  • Disable unused API keys on the exchange

Session Security

  • Log out from shared devices
  • Review active sessions regularly
  • Enable session notifications

Deleting Your Account

If you need to delete your account:

Note: Account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. All your bots, settings, and trading history will be permanently removed.

  1. Close all open positions
  2. Delete all bots
  3. Disconnect all exchanges
  4. Contact support at hello@tradestaq.com
  5. Confirm deletion via email

Allow 30 days for complete data removal as per our data retention policy.
