Notification Settings

Configure how and when TradeStaq sends you alerts about your trading activity.

Overview

Stay informed about your bots, trades, and account with customizable notifications. TradeStaq supports multiple notification channels:

• In-app notifications: Always available in the dashboard
• Telegram: Real-time alerts to your phone
• Email: Important updates and summaries

Notification Types

Telegram Setup

Step 1: Find the TradeStaq Bot

1. Open Telegram
2. Search for @TradeStaqBot
3. Start a conversation with the bot

Step 2: Get Your Pairing Code

1. Navigate to Settings → Notifications in TradeStaq
2. Click Connect Telegram
3. Copy the 6-digit pairing code shown

Step 3: Pair Your Account

1. In Telegram, send the pairing code to @TradeStaqBot
2. The bot will confirm your account is linked
3. You'll receive a test notification

Email Notifications

Email Preferences

Configure which emails you receive:

1. Navigate to Settings → Notifications
2. Scroll to Email Preferences
3. Toggle notifications on/off

Email Types

Unsubscribe

To stop emails:

• Click "Unsubscribe" in any email footer
• Or toggle off in Settings → Notifications

Notification Limits

To prevent spam, notifications are rate-limited:

When the limit is reached:

• Additional notifications are queued
• Summary notification sent after cooldown
• Critical alerts (errors, security) always sent

Quiet Hours

Set times when non-critical notifications are muted:

1. Navigate to Settings → Notifications
2. Enable Quiet Hours
3. Set start and end time (in your timezone)

During quiet hours:

• Trade notifications are batched
• Daily summaries still sent at scheduled time
• Critical alerts (errors, security) still immediate

Managing Notification Overload

If you're getting too many notifications:

Reduce Trade Notifications

Settings → Notifications → Trade Alerts
- Disable for paper trading bots
- Only notify on position close (not open)
- Group notifications by bot

Use Digests Instead

Settings → Notifications → Digest Mode
- Batch notifications every 15/30/60 minutes
- Receive summary instead of individual alerts

Filter by Profit/Loss

Settings → Notifications → Trade Filters
- Only notify when P&L > $X
- Only notify when P&L < -$X (losses)

Testing Notifications

Verify your setup is working:

1. Navigate to Settings → Notifications
2. Click Send Test Notification
3. Select channel (Telegram, Email, or Both)
4. Check that you receive the test message

Troubleshooting

Telegram Not Receiving

1. Ensure you haven't blocked @TradeStaqBot
2. Check that Telegram notifications are enabled on your phone
3. Try unlinking and relinking your account

Emails Going to Spam

1. Add notifications@tradestaq.com to contacts
2. Mark TradeStaq emails as "Not Spam"
3. Check email filters/rules

Missing Notifications

1. Check notification settings are enabled
2. Verify you haven't hit rate limits
3. Check quiet hours settings
4. Ensure account is verified
